Our Calgary, Alberta office is seeking a Junior Environmental Scientist/Technologist to support our growing assessment, remediation, reclamation and monitoring (ARRM) team. The successful applicant will be involved in a broad range of projects with responsibilities as follows:

Requirements

Degree or technical diploma in the environmental sciences, engineering, or other applicable field
1-3 years of related experience
Function effectively as part of a collaborative team
Service-oriented and have the ability to multi-task
Self-motivated and possess strong written and verbal communication skills
A valid class 5 driver’s license with no restrictions and clean driving record

Responsibilities

Active participation in maintaining Montrose strong safety culture
Assist with the field coordination and execution of Phase I, II, and III environmental site assessments; remediation and ground water monitoring programs
Support well abandonment activities including: surface reclamation, soil and vegetation assessments
Contribute to the preparation of reports, work plans, and cost estimates
Participate in spill responses and associated clean-up activities
Travel as required to support field programs
Aid other service line projects when needed
