About The Position

Ashtead Technology in Houston is seeking a Junior Electronic Technician to progress their career in electronics. This role involves hands-on work with cutting-edge equipment, learning from experienced technicians, and preparing technology for global use. The technician will be responsible for the inspection, testing, repair, maintenance, and preparation of equipment for hire, ensuring it is fully functional, complete, accurately documented, photographed, and professionally presented. They will also ensure equipment packaging provides adequate protection for safe transport and storage, follow quality control steps, and perform electrical safety tests as required by regulations. Maintaining and completing work orders and customer records in NetSuite is also a key responsibility.

Requirements

• Previously worked in an electronics-based role at a Trainee level.
• Ability to use a multimeter.
• Strong problem-solving capabilities with a methodical approach to identifying and resolving technical issues.
• A positive attitude with the willingness to learn and support the team where needed.

Responsibilities

• Inspection, testing, effective repair, maintenance, and preparation of equipment for hire.
• Ensuring kit is fully functional, complete, accurately documented, photographed, and professionally presented.
• Ensuring that equipment packaging provides appropriate protection and is suitable for safe transport and storage.
• Following quality control steps on all equipment and carrying out electrical safety tests as required by regulations.
• Maintaining and completing work orders and customer records in NetSuite as required.
