About The Position

Peregrine Advisors is hiring a Junior DevSecOps Engineer to help operate automation, CI/CD pipelines, and secure cloud infrastructure supporting federal systems. The position is based in the Washington, DC metropolitan area under a hybrid work arrangement, with commuting cadence varying by assignment. The initial engagement requires United States citizenship and the ability to obtain a Public Trust determination. On the initial project, the engineer will work with other engineers on frequently used pipelines. Under senior engineers' guidance, the role contributes to infrastructure-as-code, deployment automation, container and AWS operations, security checks, Python scripting, and NIST SP 800-53 control implementation and compliance evidence automation. Changes undergo code review, and the engineer explains the changes and reasoning to reviewers. The role also helps automate manual team tasks and integrate security into development from the start. The work may evolve across assignments and areas of need. This is a full-time W-2 position with an annual salary of $80,000 to $95,000. Peregrine describes itself as a Benefit Corporation and SBA 8(a) company focused on AI and data for government, and emphasizes ownership, learning, collaboration, and delivering value to clients and the public.
