About The Position

Our client, a fast-growing technology and systems consultancy that helps businesses streamline their operations through smart system configuration, automation, and integration, is looking for a Junior Developer to support system operations, data workflows, and integrations across client environments. This role sits at the centre of operations, ensuring client systems run smoothly, senior technical teams remain unblocked, and external partners stay aligned. The ideal candidate brings hands-on technical experience, a strong interest in APIs and data workflows, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, evolving environment while supporting both internal teams and external stakeholders.

Requirements

Prior development experience or hands-on exposure to technical applications in a practical environment.
Solid understanding of APIs, including ability to read documentation and interpret data outputs.
Proficiency in using AI tools as part of daily workflows and problem-solving processes.
Strong coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and stakeholders effectively.
Analytical and investigative mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
Ability to learn new systems quickly and adapt to evolving processes in a dynamic environment.
Strong communication and collaboration skills within cross-functional and external teams.
Based in Cape Town or willingness to relocate, with availability for occasional in-person work.
Candidates must be legally authorized to live and work in the country where the position is based, without requiring employer sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

Exposure to workflow or integration tools such as HubSpot, Asana, or similar platforms is advantageous.
Familiarity with webhook setup, data mapping, or API testing tools is beneficial.

Responsibilities

Serve as first point of contact for workflow failures and system errors across client environments.
Monitor daily error reports, triage issues, and manage items on support boards.
Resolve known technical issues using SOPs and escalate complex cases to senior teams.
Manage and monitor data workflows between integrated systems, ensuring data integrity and consistency.
Identify recurring issues and support development of SOPs to improve efficiency and reduce escalations.
Act as liaison between internal teams and external technology partners, ensuring alignment and progress.
Track integration and development projects, maintain visibility, and proactively follow up on open items.
Maintain and update project trackers, flag blockers, and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
Create and maintain technical documentation, including SOPs, process guides, and resolution libraries.
Conduct API investigations, including reviewing documentation, mapping data fields, and preparing technical briefs.
Perform preliminary scoping work for integration projects, reducing dependency on senior developers.
Support internal API and tooling projects, including testing integrations and improving system connections.
Contribute to continuous improvement of workflows, processes, and system performance.
