About The Position

The Hartford is seeking a Junior Developer / Junior Data Engineer to join our AI Enablement organization. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is excited to learn, build, and contribute to real, production-grade AI and data platforms alongside experienced Data Scientists, Engineers, and Technical Leaders. This position is not expected to own end-to-end platforms or initiatives. Instead, you will work on well-defined components within larger AI systems, gaining hands-on experience while being supported by senior engineers and data scientists. This role is part of a ~20-person AI Enablement team with shared ownership across platforms. You will focus on specific tasks, components, or features, not full systems. Success is measured by learning, code quality, reliability, and collaboration, not independent ownership. You will receive mentorship, design guidance, and code reviews from senior team members.
