About The Position

Hayley Paige is in an exciting new chapter, and we’re looking for a motivated Junior Design & Product Development Associate to support our team. The right candidate will be hands-on and detail-oriented, eager to learn about the BTS of what goes into developing a Hayley Paige gown from concept to final product. This is a unique opportunity, perfect for someone who is genuinely interested in bridal fashion, garment construction, and the product development process. Working closely with our Product Development and Design Team, you’ll gain exposure to the many stages involved in developing and refining bridal gowns, and you’ll provide much-needed support at every state of the process. The ideal candidate enjoys working with their hands, is comfortable in spreadsheets, is highly organized and attentive, and willing to jump in wherever needed. No two days will necessarily look the same, and this role is a great fit for someone who enjoys the combination of creativity, craftsmanship, organization, and detailed execution.

Requirements

  • Must be knowledgeable and comfortable in Photoshop and Procreate
  • A recent graduate or emerging professional interested in bridal fashion, apparel, fashion design, technical design, or garment development
  • Reliable and responsible, with a collaborative attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Able to take direction while also developing the confidence to work independently
  • Reliable transportation and the ability to regularly travel to Ramsey, NJ

Responsibilities

  • Help create tech packs to communicate gown construction and design intent with the factory
  • Assist with fabric development and sourcing.
  • Support the Product Development and Design team virtually by keeping information well-organized and accessible:
  • Keep charts and line sheets up to date as directed
  • Update One Drive with photos, factory information, pricing, etc in an organized manner for easy access by the team
  • Organize and maintain fit notes and other development information
  • Observe and contribute to how design concepts are translated into technical specifications and finished garments
  • Attend fittings and take notes as the technical designer reviews the gowns
  • Steam and prepare gowns and samples for fittings, reviews, and shipments
  • Assist with keeping garments and materials organized
  • Assist with hand sewing, garment adjustments, and other hands-on development tasks
  • Help with fittings and other studio tasks as needed
  • Additional projects and responsibilities may become available as skills and experience develop
