About The Position

E&M Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Junior Database Administrator to support USSTRATCOM at Offutt AFB, Nebraska. The role manages, maintains, and enhances database systems across operating environments, with emphasis on routine administration, performance optimization, and system upgrades. It supports database health monitoring, issue resolution, and backup and recovery practices that ensure data continuity. Working with cross-functional teams, the administrator aligns database functions with organizational objectives and supports analytics and AI initiatives by meeting data requirements for model training and algorithm development. The role documents and designs database architecture, improves processes to sustain data quality for data science activities, and oversees command laboratory environments that promote data science innovation and AI development. It also contributes mentorship and strategic database planning in support of mission outcomes and sound data management practices. Travel requirements are up to 20%.

Requirements

0–3 years of relevant experience with a BA/BS in computer science, Information Technology, Data Management, or a related field.
ITIL V4 Foundations.
Proficiency in database design, data governance, and data warehousing principles.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Must be a U.S. citizen.
Must have and be capable of maintaining a U.S. Department of Defense security clearance at the required level; the posting lists TS/SCI.

Familiarity with data science tools and methodologies is highly desirable.
