About The Position

As a Junior Data Engineer, you’ll help build and maintain data solutions that power business analytics and drive impactful decisions. Requirements
- 1–2 years of experience in data engineering or a related field
- Experience building or maintaining data pipelines
- Understanding of data architecture concepts (e.g., lakehouse)
- Basic proficiency in Python; familiarity with PySpark is strongly preferred
- Experience with Power BI or similar BI tools
- SQL Server database development experience
- Experience working with Azure Data Lake and Blob Storage
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
- Awareness of data security standards (e.g., PCI, GDPR, ISO) preferred
- Interest in travel-related data; prior exposure is an asset
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain data pipelines for transforming and loading data into analytics and integration systems
- Support the enhancement of data processing performance under guidance from senior engineers
- Monitor, investigate, and resolve issues related to data pipelines and transformations
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
- Apply security best practices when designing and implementing data solutions
- Troubleshoot technical issues and identify root causes
- Follow established development standards to deliver high-quality solutions
- Assist in creating and maintaining technical documentation
- Collaborate with senior team members to learn and apply modern data engineering techniques
