Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory is hiring a Junior Data Analyst within the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO). Reporting to the Business Assurance Manager, this foundation level role within the Business Assurance group provides reporting and data analytics support to the Procurement Department. Under general supervision, the Analyst will apply basic principles, theories, and concepts to bridge procurement business reporting needs and technology by collecting, cleaning, and analyzing financial data to produce actionable insights, financial reports, and dashboards. This position will use SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools to analyze data, detect trends and anomalies, and help the procurement organization in the decision support and strategic decision making by creating and or updating queries/reports/dashboards etc. The Junior Data Analyst will engage with the Business Systems Group in understanding the OCFO’s Business Systems and related data architecture, tables and reporting options.
