About The Position

Noetic Strategies Inc. is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented junior cybersecurity analyst to help protect digital assets by assisting with detection, analysis, and response to cybersecurity threats and incidents. The role involves security operations work, including network monitoring, incident investigation and documentation, vulnerability assessment and remediation, security recommendations, and operating protective software and measures. The analyst also conducts cyber and forensic analysis, examines recovered data, and supports deployable Incident Response Teams through real-time cyber defense handling. The position is located in Huntsville, Alabama, requires an active Top Secret clearance, and includes shift work.

Requirements

At least 1 year of Splunk/SOC experience.
Bachelor's degree in a computer science-related field.
Must currently possess an active Top Secret clearance.
Ability and willingness to work shifts.

Responsibilities

Monitor computer networks for security issues.
Investigate security breaches and other cybersecurity incidents.
Document security breaches and assess the damage they cause.
Work with the security team to perform tests and uncover network vulnerabilities, such as penetration testing.
Fix detected vulnerabilities to maintain a high-security standard.
Recommend best practices for IT security.
Install security measures and operate software to protect systems and information infrastructure, including firewalls and data encryption programs.
Conduct analysis, confirm intrusion information, and create forensically sound duplicates of files.
Decrypt data and provide technical summaries and input.
Examine recovered data for relevant information and perform dynamic analysis, including timeline, statistical, and file signature analysis.
Perform real-time cyber defense handling tasks to support deployable Incident Response Teams (IRTs).
