Norm Ai•New York, NY
•$200,000 - $250,000•Hybrid

About The Position

Norm Ai is hiring a Junior Counsel to support its full legal function and the legal and operational needs of Norm Law, LLP, a separate but affiliated AI-native law firm. The role reports directly to Norm Ai’s Head of Legal and the Managing Partner of Norm Law, LLP, and works closely with the Head of Norm Law Operations. It spans corporate, commercial, employment, intellectual property, data security, and the business and go-to-market operations of the law firm. This generalist position is intended for an ambitious lawyer seeking broad practice-area exposure in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment at the intersection of law and AI. The Junior Counsel will take on meaningful responsibility early and help build the legal function’s infrastructure, processes, and workflows. Success calls for sound judgment, strong organization, discretion with sensitive matters, and the ability to move fluidly between legal disciplines and business problems. Norm Ai values practical AI fluency. Candidates should be prepared to discuss and demonstrate concrete examples of using AI tools and workflows in their day-to-day work to improve the quality and speed of work and refine end-to-end processes. The position is hybrid and based at the company’s 1 WTC headquarters in New York City, with an in-office expectation of four to five days per week. Base salary is $200,000–$250,000, with equity included. Benefits include a 401(k) with employer match, health, dental and vision coverage, unlimited paid time off, free daily office lunch, an employee referral bonus program, and relocation support for a move to New York City.
