About The Position

The Greenridge Group is a prime contractor and consulting firm specializing in Project and Construction Management for major public-sector agencies. We are seeking a Junior Construction Project Manager to support facilities improvement projects throughout the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD). This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career construction professional to gain hands-on experience managing environmental remediation, renovation, and facilities improvement projects that directly impact schools and communities across Los Angeles.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in construction project management, facilities project management, construction administration, project coordination, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting projects through planning, construction, and closeout phases.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Environmental Studies, or a related field. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and coordination skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with K-12 school facilities, higher education facilities, public works, or government agency construction projects.
  • Familiarity with environmental compliance, asbestos abatement, lead remediation, or environmental consulting projects.
  • Knowledge of construction safety practices and Cal/OSHA requirements.
  • Experience using Maximo or similar asset and work management systems.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning, coordinating, and managing facilities construction, renovation, repair, and modernization projects.
  • Review project requests, scopes of work, drawings, and technical documentation.
  • Coordinate with project management teams, maintenance staff, environmental consultants, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Support project budgeting, funding requests, cost tracking, and reporting.
  • Monitor project schedules, labor charges, and overall project progress.
  • Review consultant proposals and assist with cost evaluations and procurement activities.
  • Coordinate asbestos abatement and lead remediation activities associated with school facility projects.
  • Assist with contract administration, task orders, and project documentation.
  • Review contractor submittations, daily reports, certified payroll records, and invoices.
  • Participate in project meetings and help ensure environmental and safety requirements are properly communicated and documented.
  • Support project closeout activities and maintain project tracking reports.
