Junior Construction Coordinator / Supervisor
About The Position
This role is for a Junior Construction Coordinator / Supervisor based in Yellowknife, NT, supporting field execution on mine closure and environmental remediation projects within the Applied Solutions team. The position is ideal for someone looking to develop hands-on experience in construction coordination in challenging northern environments. The individual will contribute to delivering safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible outcomes, working closely with experienced field teams to ensure projects meet performance, safety, and compliance expectations while gaining experience on environmental restoration initiatives.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in construction coordination, supervision, or field operations
- Diploma or degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology (civil, environmental, or related discipline)
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to interpret drawings, plans, and specifications
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in team environments
- Ability to work in remote locations under extreme weather and site conditions
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and regulatory compliance in field environments

- Exposure to mine closure, remediation, or environmental projects is an asset
Responsibilities
- Support and coordinate daily construction and field activities on mine closure and environmental projects
- Assist in monitoring contractor work to ensure alignment with safety, scope, and schedule requirements
- Work with project teams to support safe execution in remote and extreme climate conditions
- Track field progress, maintain documentation, and contribute to reporting
- Promote a strong culture of health, safety, and environmental compliance
- Identify and communicate field issues, risks, and improvement opportunities
- Contribute to successful project outcomes and environmental restoration efforts
