About The Position

Element Logic is seeking a Junior Commissioning Engineer to join its Delivery team and help bring automated warehouse systems to life at customer sites. This is a hands-on, field-based role for someone with a technical foundation and a desire to learn. The employee will receive onboarding and training and work alongside experienced engineers while developing skills in electrical systems, networking, PLCs, controls, and warehouse automation. As skills develop, the engineer will gradually assume more responsibility in commissioning, troubleshooting, controls, and system integration. The position involves installing and configuring electrical systems, wiring, and automation equipment; supporting electrical installation and commissioning of conveyor and material handling systems; performing system tests, I/O checks, and functional tests; troubleshooting technical issues; assisting with system startup and go-live; and documenting tests, configurations, and issues. Mechanical installation is performed by a separate crew. The engineer will collaborate with engineering, project teams, and customers. The role is based in the field and requires up to 80% travel, primarily to customer sites across the continental U.S., with occasional international travel, mainly to Canada and Mexico. The current schedule typically involves about three weeks of travel followed by one week at home, though schedules can vary. Weekend or night work may occasionally be needed; Saturday work is more frequent and night shifts are less common. The work takes place in warehouses, distribution centers, and industrial environments. Company-covered travel expenses include flights, hotels, rental cars, and gas; employees are eligible for a $75 daily per diem. Candidates may be based anywhere in the continental U.S. A valid driver’s license is required, and candidates must have or be able to obtain a valid passport for potential international travel. The role may require lifting and carrying equipment up to approximately 50 lbs. (23 kg), working at heights with ladders, mezzanines, elevated platforms, or scissor lifts, accessing areas around conveyor systems, working in varying conditions including higher temperatures, wearing required PPE, and sitting for extended periods during travel. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals to perform the essential functions of the role. The start date is to be agreed upon, and the position is permanent employment.
