About The Position

Working with an extensive client base, TEKsystems is searching for motivated individuals with construction, warehouse, or general labor experience who are looking to start a career in the booming data center and low-voltage industry in the New Albany, OH area! This is a Contract-to-Hire Opportunity.

Requirements

Previous labor experience required (construction, warehouse, installation, manufacturing, or similar environment).
Strong attendance record and reliable transportation.
Positive attitude with willingness to learn and take direction.
Ability to work Monday-Saturday, 10-hour shifts (non-negotiable).
Must be flexible to work both 1st and 2nd shifts as needed.
Comfortable working in construction and data center environments.

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

Pull, dress, and label cabling according to industry standards.
Assist with cable routing, organization, and identification throughout data center environments.
Support RJ45 connector and patch panel terminations under the guidance of technicians.
Learn and perform basic punch-down terminations for telecommunications infrastructure.
Assist with cable testing using industry tools such as Fluke and EXFO testing equipment.
Gain exposure to fiber optic cable handling, routing, and basic installation techniques.
Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Work closely with project teams, supervisors, and technicians to complete installation projects on schedule.
Lift materials, move equipment, and perform physical labor in active construction and data center environments.
Demonstrate strong attendance, reliability, and a positive attitude every day on the job.
