About The Position

The Communications Technician will support commercial construction projects by assisting with the installation and maintenance of communications cabling systems. This role involves pulling pigtails, material handling, inventory support, and ensuring all project work is completed according to company quality and safety standards. Tools and equipment will be provided. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Albany, OH.

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and move up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to distinguish colors, read small print, and recognize audible signals.
• Ability to travel within the local territory when required.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience as a Communications Technician, Cable Technician, or Structured Cabling Technician.
• Experience supporting commercial construction projects.
• Familiarity with low-voltage cabling installations and telecommunications infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Perform pigtail pulling and support communications cabling installations.
• Complete all company-required documentation accurately and on time, including timesheets, work orders, material transfers, and change orders.
• Adhere to company, customer, and industry safety standards.
• Assist with shipping, receiving, inventory management, and material handling activities.
• Complete additional project-related duties as assigned.
• Support commercial construction projects by assisting with the installation and maintenance of communications cabling systems.
• Handle materials and provide inventory support.
