About The Position

The Junior Business Analyst will join a bank’s Data Management Office in New York City. The role supports data management initiatives by analyzing business needs, working with business and technology stakeholders, and using SQL to query, analyze, and validate data. The analyst will also help address data quality issues and process inefficiencies and support project documentation, testing, and implementation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 0–3 years of experience in business analysis, data analysis, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Strong requirements gathering, documentation, and analytical skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders across business and technology teams.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.

Nice To Haves

• Prior internship or work experience in banking or financial services.
• Basic understanding of data governance, data quality, or data management concepts.
• Familiarity with Excel, Jira, or other business analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from various stakeholders.
• Work with business users, IT teams, and data management teams to identify business needs and develop solutions.
• Use SQL to query, analyze, and validate data.
• Assist in identifying and resolving data quality issues and process inefficiencies.
• Support data management projects, including documentation, testing, and implementation.
• Communicate project updates, findings, and recommendations to stakeholders.
