Requirements

• Valid driver’s license
• 1+ years of experience in Building Operations
• Experience gained in a commercial/office/retail environment
• Enrolled or completed Operator Class 5 Certificate
• Familiarity with safety and fire codes and WHMIS procedures
• Proactive in finding problems and solving them
• Team player but can work on your own
• Above par computer and communications skills

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, mechanical and life safety systems and facilities.
• Complete tenant service calls such as changing lights, heating/cooling calls etc. in a professional manner.
• Oversee the appearance and safety of the property.
• Operate Building Automation, Life safety, Company procurement programs and Security computer systems.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and provide solutions/recommendations.
• Oversee contractors and ensure they abide by building guidelines.
• Communicate with Operations Supervisor/Property Management on building and tenant issues.
• Maintain maintenance and daily logs of equipment.
• Contact suppliers, obtain quotes, order materials/supplies.
• Other duties as assigned.
