About The Position

As a member of the management team, the Junior Assistant Manager supports the Assistant Manager and Manager in achieving sales goals, maintaining company standards, and motivating the team. The role combines sales and customer service, team leadership and development, store presentation, and administrative duties. The position is permanent and full time, with an hourly salary of $18.15–$23.50.

• Previous team management experience in a retail environment.
• Natural leadership skills and ability to motivate a team.

• Willing to work holidays and longer hours during busy periods, depending on availability.

Responsibilities

• Train team members in customer support, sales techniques, and product features.
• Welcome customers, assist them in finding products, answer questions, and explain product quality, materials, and technical features.
• Coordinate store activities and tasks with the management team.
• Help keep the store running smoothly and ensure outstanding customer service.
• Achieve personal sales goals and share information with the team to support joint sales goals.
• Mobilize the team and foster a positive work environment that encourages excellence, pride, and belonging.
• Promote the company’s vision, mission, and brand culture to the team.
• Demonstrate leadership and serve as an inspiring role model.
• Recruit, prepare, and train employees; identify strong candidates for open roles and build a high-performance team.
• Manage team members’ absences and lateness.
• Create attractive, inviting store displays based on planograms.
• Monitor competitor activity and reflect the brand image to build a loyal customer base.
• Help plan incoming orders and ensure visual displays are set up efficiently.
• Help maintain the appearance and cleanliness of the store and backstore.
• Analyze sales, in-store traffic, and productivity reports and share results with the team.
• Open and close the store.
• Follow policies and procedures set by head office departments.
• Perform other duties as needed to support the team.
