About The Position

Provide advisory and assistance support to Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) Branch level offices by managing non-personal administrative functions and providing office organization support. This role requires the ability to identify problems and recommend solutions with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of AF directives and procedures for managing and preparing Government documentation, along with proficiency in office organization and management.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of AF directives and procedures in support of management and preparation of Government documentation.

  • Ability to create, manage, and maintain databases.
  • Ability to assist in meeting organization and preparation.
  • Ability to manage and maintain office official bulletins, displays, and announcements.
  • Ability to establish and maintain file plans for Government approval.
  • Ability to review Temporary Duty (TDY) Orders for compliance.
  • Ability to consolidate and prepare orders for processing.
  • Ability to draft requests for TDY orders.
  • Ability to monitor commitments made at meetings.
  • Ability to coordinate meeting arrangements and/or schedule meetings and conferences.
  • Ability to prepare and finalize a wide variety of correspondence, reports, and other documents.
  • Ability to compose and prepare nontechnical and some technical correspondence.
  • Ability to coordinate/forward correspondence to appropriate offices and update tracking systems and suspense files.
  • Ability to prepare documents in accordance with regulations and policies.
  • Ability to review all correspondence thoroughly to ensure correct grammar, spelling, capitalization, and punctuation.
  • Must be able to work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Manage non-personal administrative functions and provide office organization support.
  • Identify problems and recommend solutions with minimal supervision.
  • Manage and maintain databases for tracking task status, suspenses, training, and office mail distribution.
  • Review correspondence for deficiencies.
  • Assist in meeting organization and preparation, including developing agendas and presentations, scheduling, venue preparation, recording, and tracking action items.
  • Perform venue security duties.
  • Manage and maintain office official bulletins, displays, and announcements.
  • Establish and maintain file plans for Government approval.
  • Review Temporary Duty (TDY) Orders for compliance with AF directives and processes.
  • Consolidate and prepare orders for processing, and distribute approved orders and tickets.
  • Draft requests for TDY orders and submit for approval.
  • Monitor commitments made at meetings and provide support in adjusting appointments and calendars.
  • Coordinate meeting arrangements and/or schedule meetings and conferences.
  • Assist in establishing meeting locations, setting times, contacting participants, and ensuring required materials and services are available.
  • Contact other people to attend meetings in lieu of original participants when necessary.
  • Prepare and finalize correspondence, reports, and other documents.
  • Compose and prepare nontechnical and some technical correspondence.
  • Coordinate and forward correspondence to appropriate offices and update tracking systems and suspense files.
  • Prepare documents in accordance with regulations and policies, ensuring timely finalization.
  • Review all correspondence for correct grammar, spelling, capitalization, and punctuation.
  • Work independently in the execution of requirements.
