What you will be doing Legal Entity Expert Within the scope of North American Business Entities assigned and under the guidance of the GFS Manager NA: Proactively manage day-to-day accounting activities, including general accounting entries, provision calculations & management, general ledger maintenance, cost accounting and financial reporting. Act as a liaison between different stakeholders. For example, NA Business Unites, Corporate Functions, GFS Colleagues, auditors, etc. Perform account reconciliations and variance analysis to explain the major movements on the balance sheet and P&L accounts. Preparation and ownership of the financial statements. Support internal and external audits by preparing relevant documentation and addressing audit inquiries. Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and ensure compliance with applicable financial reporting standards in order to maintain controls. Oversight of accounting processes to ensure accuracy and correctness. Support internal controls requirements and different departments by providing financial information Assure successful implementation of GFS global processes, evaluate end-to-end performance and adjust as needed. Monthly & Year-End Closing Proactively manages the monthly closing activities for the assigned scope completing accounting tasks on time with high accuracy with close interaction with the different stakeholders (BU controlling, corporate departments, external stakeholders,…) Solve problems impacting month-end close. Prepares assigned internal and external reports for the business units, corporate consolidation, external stakeholders and tax authorities. Identifies and addresses obstacles impacting the timely completion of month‑end processes, ensuring they are captured for post–month‑end review and future improvement. Process Optimization Participate in end-to-end projects: setup requirements, meet project milestones, testing and implementation taking approach of innovation, teamwork and collaboration as part of our DNA Contribute to the development and implementation of streamlined accounting processes, controls, and policies Review and analyze financial data to identify discrepancies, variances, and opportunities for process improvement
