About The Position

Kansas Children's Service League (KCSL) is hiring a full-time Junior Accountant in Topeka, Kansas. The role assists with day-to-day business office operations, including preparing journal entries and vouchers, posting activity to the general ledger, maintaining the vendor master, reconciling subsidiary ledgers, and performing financial analysis. It also tracks expenses associated with funding sources, prepares monthly or quarterly reports required by funders, analyzes actual-to-budget variances, and supports program staff with financial questions. The position works Monday through Friday, with occasional evenings and weekends, and pays up to $50,000 annually. KCSL is a statewide nonprofit agency whose mission is to protect and promote the well-being of children.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field.
Two years of finance or accounting experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office products, including Word, Outlook, and Teams.

Responsibilities

Assist with day-to-day business office operations.
