About The Position

Teachers are needed to support Musson's Jumpstart (kindergarten students) at Rochester Community Schools for a temporary summer learning program. Applications will be accepted until positions are filled. Teachers will implement innovative instructional techniques to improve student achievement, with an emphasis on higher-level thinking skills, organizational skills, integrating knowledge, connecting learning to prior knowledge, cooperative learning, active learner participation, and technology integration. Progress reports will be shared with parents and anecdotal summaries will be provided for fall teachers. The number of positions depends on enrollment.

Requirements

• Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate
• Desire to work with at-risk students.
• Willingness to work with students who need to be academically challenged.
• Must be available to work the entire length of the program.

Responsibilities

• Implement innovative instructional techniques.
