The Juice Bar Assistant Manager will have the necessary confidence, commitment, and motivation to move their staff and themselves towards success. The Juice Bar Assistant Manager must be enthusiastic, have strong communication skills and extraordinary people skills. He or she must know how to keep morale high among the Juice Bar Department staff; serve the customers to develop and retain repeat business; keep the Juice Bar Department clean and up to par with Bristol Farms standards and lastly create an environment that’s welcoming, warm, and friendly. Key traits and skills necessary to perform this job successfully are: strong leadership skills, good listening skills, applied empathy; must be self-motivated, decisive, observant, flexible, supportive, and possess a strong sense of urgency in all duties performed. Also, due to Bristol Farms goals and structure, the Juice Bar Assistant Manager should also be open to growth and expansion.

Requirements

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED); three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers, or employees of Bristol Farms.
• Ability to speak, read and understand English fluently.
• Ability to listen to all complaints, suggestions, comments, and implement those that work.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, percentages, and volume.
• Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to resolve conflicts in such a manner to create a win-win situation.
• Ability to analyze a variety of situations, think through to a solution and implement the solution.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, assigning, and directing work.
• Assist with staff development, performance reviews, scheduled writing, rewarding and disciplining employees.
• Assist with addressing complaints and resolving problems.
• Oversee the selling of juices, smoothies, and all related items of the Juice Bar counter.
• Keep the Juice Bar Department clean and up to par with Bristol Farms standards.
• Create an environment that’s welcoming, warm, and friendly.
• Practice safe food handling procedures at all times.
• Coordinate activities of all employees engaged in the sales and processing of Juice Bar products in the absence of the Juice Bar Manager.
• Train and develop employees to assure freshness, quality, customer service, and sanitation.
• Assist with the ordering and receiving of products, and proper invoice routing.
• Implement and execute all merchandising programs.
• Set up advertising displays or arrange merchandise on counters and tables to promote sales.
• Package, display, and merchandise all Juice Bar goods according to company standards.
• Inspect products to ensure Bristol Farms standards of quality, weight specifications, & presentation.
• Communicate with the Juice Bar Manager and Store Director on all department related issues.
• Appraise performance; reward and discipline employees; address complaints and resolve problems.
• Provide customer service that is extraordinary and exceeds the expectations of our customers.
• Follow established policies and guidelines that go beyond simply smiling and greeting customers.
• Go above and beyond encompassing attitudes, respect, and flexibility.
