This is the entry level of judicial case processing work, responsible for reviewing, preparing, processing, and maintaining a variety of legal/court documents and records. Employees perform the full range of Essential Functions, including routine and standardized assignments, under close supervision. Courtesy, tact, and effectiveness are required when providing information to and interacting with various court personnel and the general public. This is a career ladder position. Receives close supervision from a technical supervisor; the supervisor provides specific instructions on all assignments, and frequent and detailed review of progress, accuracy, and quality of work. Supervisory advice or assistance is readily available. Conducts routine judicial case processing work and assists with more complex processing work. Seeks guidance from higher-level staff on work that is outside a range of specified, acceptable procedures, standards, alternatives, and practices. Attends training programs and receives on-the-job training in all aspects of case processing. Learns applicable court operations, automated information systems, computer software, and related procedures, practices, and standards. Communicates effectively with internal and external stakeholders, judicial officers, court users, justice partners, and members of the public to gather, exchange, and process information/data.
