About The Position
Supreme Court of Ohio Justice Daniel R. Hawkins is accepting applications for the position of Judicial Law Clerk in his chambers. This position will commence September 2026. Law Clerks/Judicial Attorneys review and analyze arguments presented in a variety of motions and memoranda involving all areas of the Supreme Court’s jurisdiction under Article IV, Section 2(B) of the Ohio Constitution. In addition, Law Clerks/Judicial Attorneys research and prepare initial drafts of merit opinions at the direction of the Justice.
Requirements
- Law school graduates
- Licensed to practice and in good standing
- Excellent research, writing, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently, collaboratively, and efficiently
Nice To Haves
- Prior clerkship experience with an Appellate Court Judge or a Supreme Court Justice is preferred.
Responsibilities
