About The Position

The Denver County Court (DCC) is seeking a Judicial Assistant II to join the Criminal and General Sessions Division. This role provides excellent and impartial customer service to all who access the court via telephone, in person, and in writing. The Judicial Assistant II will create and maintain an accurate court record, clearly and effectively explain complex legal processes to customers with various needs, and perform a variety of clerical functions. These functions include cashiering, fulfilling record requests, filing motions, delivering mail, and processing applications for community service and payment plans. The position also involves providing input on process improvement to coworkers and the leadership team.

Requirements

  • Graduation from high school or the possession of a GED, HiSET or TASC Certificate
  • Three (3) years of clerical experience
  • One (1) year of experience must have been in court, law enforcement or legal setting
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Experience with customer de-escalation and conflict management
  • Experience with electronic filing systems/databases
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to perform as an integral part of a team
  • Valid work authorization that does not require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the U.S.
