About The Position

Temple B'nai Or, a thriving and growing Reform synagogue in Morristown, NJ, is seeking experienced Judaic and Hebrew teachers for our Pre-K-6 and 8th grade classes for the 2026-27 school year. We are looking for creative and engaging teachers who are passionate about making Jewish life and learning meaningful, engaging, and fun for all our families. The ideal candidate will build lasting relationships with our families and collaborate with our experienced Director of Education, clergy, and teachers. Our Pre-K-7th grade students meet on Sunday mornings, with grades 3-6 also meeting on Thursday afternoons. Our Middle/High School students meet on Monday evenings. Applicants should have a passion for inspiring children and possess knowledge of Jewish customs, holidays, prayers, and Hebrew.

Requirements

• Experience as a Judaic and Hebrew teacher.
• Knowledge of Jewish customs, holidays, prayers, and Hebrew.
• Ability to inspire children.
• Must pass a Background Check.
