About The Position

Our customer is the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) and acts as the provider of GIG/Defense Information System Network (DISN) services to its customers, the department of Defense (DoD) and national security organizations. This position directly supports the DISA-provided GIG capabilities and services in the 24x7 DISA Global Operations Center (DGOC). The Leidos Digital Modernization Sector and Global Solutions Management-Operations II (GSMO-II) have an opening in our Joint Regional Security Stack (JRSS) NOC for a JRSS NOC Technician at (Scott AFB, IL or Hill AFB, UT). US Citizenship is required along with a current DoD Secret Clearance.

Requirements

  • Must have DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (Security+ CE, or equivalent) at start date.
  • Ability to work in a 24/7 operation.
  • High school and 3-5 years of experience.
  • Must have an active DoD Secret security clearance.
  • Experience with one or more of the following: alarm surveillance, fault management, LAN maintenance, performance management.
  • Expertise in one or more of the following: routers, switches, routing protocols, CISCO, Juniper, MPLS.
  • General understanding of network topologies.
  • Tech control facility or cyber transport experience
  • Circuit actions and vendor experience
  • IP architecture experience
  • Telco NOC, inside or outside plant experience.
  • Experience with MS Office suite, i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, TEAMs
  • Experience with one or more of the following: alarm surveillance, fault management, LAN maintenance, performance management, change management.

Nice To Haves

  • Any additional certifications to include: CCNA, JNCIA-Junos, F5 Networks Certified Technical Specialist, ITILv4.

Responsibilities

  • Execute network operations to include configuration and analysis of customer traffic across the MPLS and JRSS infrastructure.
  • Perform real-time customer failover to restore services during scheduled and unscheduled outages and maintenance actions.
  • Work directly with supported customers and engineers across other NOCs to ensure maximum network availability to minimize or eliminate mission and operational impact.
  • Proactively monitor network alarms across platform specific network management tools.
  • Perform a variety of change management tasks which include hardware replacement, software configurations, and ASI management.
  • Utilize incident management applications to document all aspects of reported outages/degradations, isolations, escalations, and resolutions during the lifecycle of a service impacting network incident.
  • Assess, identify and recommend resolutions to various network incidents and/or deficiencies leveraging knowledge in one or more of following: routers, switches, routing protocols, MPLS, VPN technologies, IDS/IPS, proxies, packet capture, network taps, load balancing, firewalls, out-of-band management.

  • Our anticipated salary range for this role is $75,000 - $85,000
  • Pay Range $50,700.00 - $91,650.00
