About The Position

As a Jr. Talent Business Partner-Supply Chain, you will play a vital role in supporting our employees and promoting a positive workplace culture. This position requires a strong understanding of human resources areas such as employee relations, employee recognition programs, and the ability to effectively support a diverse client group. The Jr. Talent Business Partner will be responsible for supporting the Talent Team, with specific support to the Supply Chain HR-related responsibilities and other admin-related duties.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in an Human Resources role.
  • Strong understanding of employee relations principles and best practices on a manufacturing and/or warehousing environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build a rapport at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience supporting workforce planning efforts.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and HRIS systems.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to take initiative and is results oriented.

Nice To Haves

  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Talent team to manage recognition programs to include newsletters, certificates, and the company rewards platform for the supply chain organization.
  • Assist with leading committees and participating in events in the Rochester area.
  • Assist with developing and implementing creative recognition initiatives.
  • Act as the main Talent point of contact for our Supply Chain organization.
  • Support the Supply Chain organization with various human resource needs, including staffing, scheduling, training, employee relations, and employee engagement activities.
  • Partner with leadership to positively influence culture and engagement.
  • Collaborate with Employee Relations expert managing labor relations issues including but not limited to grievances, terminations, union meetings, wage changes, etc.
  • Guide employees and managers in handling HR-related questions, interpret and explain human resource policies, and help resolve employee relations issues as needed.
  • Support and guide management in the design of the appropriate organizational structure and their corresponding positions, including workforce planning in collaboration with Talent Business Partner and Compensation team.
  • Ensure compliance with Talent core processes such as mandatory training, engagement initiatives, performance management, etc.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Review and respond to unemployment claims in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Review and complete employment verifications as requested.
  • Manage the pre-employment and onboarding process.
  • Process background checks and drug testing.
  • Administer pre-adverse action process.
  • Coordinate onboarding dates and orientation schedules.
  • Assist with recruiting.
  • Validate approved headcount with Operations Finance.
  • Prepare requisitions for open roles to be posted.
  • Update job descriptions.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service with all internal stakeholders.
  • Provide support and guidance to managers and employees regarding policies, programs, procedures, and best practices.
  • Support the Talent team with special projects and initiatives as needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address Talent -related challenges and drive continuous improvement.
  • Participate in continuous improvement of Talent functions and processes.

Benefits

  • Base hourly wage of $43-46.00/hour
