We are seeking a passionate and motivated Jr. Sous Chef to join our culinary team at Marriott Orlando Downtown. In this role, you will work closely with our Executive Chef to deliver exceptional dining experiences that exceed our guests' expectations. Requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar kitchen role, preferably in a hotel or upscale restaurant setting.
  • Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety, and kitchen operations.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Culinary degree or certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Executive Chef in managing daily kitchen operations to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Prepare and present dishes according to Marriott’s standards and recipes.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of kitchen areas in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Support inventory control, ordering, and proper storage of food supplies.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and specials.
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff when required.
