Jr Software Engineer

We are seeking a Jr Software Engineer to support the development and maintenance of complex software systems within a collaborative engineering environment. This role involves building scalable applications, integrating modern technologies, and supporting both frontend and backend development efforts. The ideal candidate has experience with C++ and Python development, modern web technologies, containerization, and database platforms, along with a strong interest in developing innovative and mission-focused technical solutions.
Requirements
- Must be fully cleared with a recent MD polygraph
- Must be willing and able to work fully onsite at the location listed in this posting
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
- Strong programming experience with C++ and Python
- Experience with Java development
- Experience working with MongoDB and SQL databases
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience developing frontend applications using Angular, HTML, and JavaScript
- Understanding of software development lifecycle methodologies and best practices
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment

- Experience working with distributed systems or cloud-based environments
- Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies
- Experience supporting data-intensive or real-time applications
- Experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain full stack software applications and services
- Develop backend functionality using C++, Python, Java, and related technologies
- Build and maintain frontend applications using Angular, HTML, JavaScript, and modern web frameworks
- Develop and support database solutions using MongoDB and SQL-based technologies
- Deploy and manage applications using Docker and Kubernetes
- Analyze user requirements and translate them into software design and performance solutions
- Debug and resolve software defects and performance issues
- Integrate software into new and existing systems and environments
- Develop database queries and support data processing activities
- Participate in software testing, validation, and quality assurance activities
- Contribute to software documentation and process improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle
