About The Position
Our client, a leading federal defense contractor, is seeking a Jr. Java Software Engineer to support a new Restricted Ground Systems program in Scottsdale, AZ. This is a long-term contract opportunity supporting mission-critical systems for the US Warfighter.
Requirements
- Active DoD TS/SCI clearance required at time of hire
- Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related STEM field with 2+ years of experience, OR Master's degree with 6+ months of experience
- Experience with Java development, Maven, VSCode, REST APIs
- Familiarity with AWS development environments and GitLab
- Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills
- US Citizenship required due to government contract requirements
Nice To Haves
- Agile development experience
- Interest in continuous improvement and emerging technologies including AI
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Java-based software applications
- Work within an Agile development environment
- Support RESTful interface development and enterprise software initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams in an AWS environment
- Participate in software builds, testing, and deployment activities
