Jr. Software Engineer, Robot Systems
About The Position
As a Robot Systems Jr. Software Engineer at Carbon Robotics, you will collaborate with software, mechanical, and electrical engineering peers to develop AI and robotics products. Your primary focus will be on the design and implementation of robot-side features and algorithms. You will partner with engineering teams to build efficient robotic software for our LaserWeeder robots and Autonomous Tractor Kits. This role involves building and troubleshooting robot system software, developing tooling for high-performance robotics algorithms, and enhancing machine learning pipelines to deliver state-of-the-art AI performance to our robots. You will be part of a fast-paced, nimble software team tackling novel problems.
Requirements
- Some Experience C++ and Python.
- Proficiency with modern Linux development environments (e.g. bash, git, docker, etc.).
- BS+ in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and a desire to work in multidisciplinary teams.
- Willing to work in the Seattle office 4 days per week.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with robotic and computer vision algorithms is beneficial.
