Jr. Software Developer Intern – Part-Time
About The Position
Integrated Machinery Solutions is looking for a motivated Jr. Software Developer Intern to join our team and gain hands-on experience supporting an internal web-based application used to improve and streamline company processes. This is an excellent opportunity for a current Computer Science or Software Engineering/Development student who is interested in software testing, data validation, SQL, and application development. The intern will work closely with our development team to test and audit internal systems and help ensure applications are functioning accurately and efficiently.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Computer Science, Software Engineering, Software Development, or related degree program.
- Must be at least a Junior-level student.
- Basic understanding of SQL and relational databases.
- Proficiency with or willingness to learn Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to analyze information and identify discrepancies.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating with a development team.
Nice To Haves
- Hands-on experience with software testing, SQL, Excel, data auditing, web-based applications, and real-world development processes within a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with testing and auditing an internal web-based application.
- Use SQL and Excel to review, analyze, and validate system data.
- Audit developer work and system functionality to identify discrepancies or potential issues.
- Perform data comparisons and help verify that application processes are working as expected.
- Document testing results and communicate findings to the development team.
- Assist with identifying and reporting software bugs or inconsistencies.
- Support other software development and testing projects as needed.
