About The Position

This role involves analyzing market data, sales, and quote history to provide quotes to customers. The Jr. Sales Administrator will receive customer inquiries, process orders, and provide price and delivery information. This position requires negotiating prices within company guidelines, administering customer contracts, and developing new or reactivating dormant accounts. Collaboration with the Outside Sales Team and Howmet Factories is essential for securing orders and business. Building and maintaining strong customer relationships, working with Howmet Credit for credit limits and collections, and following up on quotes are key responsibilities. The role demands operating effectively in a fast-paced environment, handling pressure, and managing low to medium volume customer accounts.

Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • 3 years minimum related experience
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and persuasion skills
  • Ability to prioritize and complete multiple and diverse work assignments with minimal direction and supervision
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications such as Excel, Access, Word
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at a time
  • Well organized with attention to detail
  • Strong follow-up and time management skills
  • Solid analytical and reasoning abilities as well as strong numerical skills

Responsibilities

  • Analyze market data, sales, and quote history to provide quotes to customers.
  • Receive customer inquiries, process customer orders, and provide price and delivery information.
  • Negotiate prices with customers within Howmet Fastening Systems pricing guidelines.
  • Administer and review customer contract details such as pricing, delivery, terms and conditions.
  • Develop new accounts and/or reactivate dormant accounts.
  • Coordinate with Outside Sales Team on strategic customer accounts.
  • Work with Howmet Factories on best pricing and lead-times required to win orders and business from customers.
  • Develop & maintain strong relationships with customers.
  • Work with Howmet Credit to set up customer credit limits and assist in collections as required.
  • Follow up on all customer quotes.
  • Work effectively in a team environment.
  • Operate in a fast-paced work environment and be able to handle pressure and challenges from internal and external customers.
  • Handle low to medium volume customer accounts.
