About The Position

Pitbull is growing, and so is our fleet. To support day-to-day shop operations and keep parts moving efficiently, we’re adding a Junior Parts Purchaser to the team. This role is focused on daily purchasing, shop requests, and operational support. If you’re organized, responsive, and thrive in a fast-paced shop environment, this is a great opportunity to build a strong foundation in purchasing and supply chain operations.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in purchasing, parts, or supply chain support (oil & gas, industrial, or heavy equipment experience is an asset)
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple requests in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable working with computer systems and software, including email, spreadsheets, and purchasing or work-order platforms
  • Reliable and accountable, with a strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively with shop, field, and office teams
  • Professional, respectful communicator who takes ownership of follow-through and service quality
  • Successful candidates will be required to provide professional references and complete a background check as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Process daily parts requests from the shop and field teams
  • Source parts from approved vendors to meet operational needs
  • Prepare and submit purchase orders accurately and on time
  • Follow up on backorders, delivery timelines, and urgent requests
  • Communicate order status clearly with mechanics, supervisors, and vendors
  • Act as the first point of contact for day-to-day parts needs
  • Coordinate rush and emergency orders to minimize downtime
  • Ensure correct parts are ordered based on work orders and specifications
  • Support warranty parts returns and vendor exchanges as required
  • Maintain positive working relationships with vendors and suppliers
  • Assist with price checks and basic cost comparisons
  • Escalate pricing or availability concerns as needed
  • Accurately enter purchasing data into company systems
  • Maintain clean records for purchase orders, invoices, and receipts
  • Support inventory accuracy by ensuring purchased parts are properly documented
