As our Junior Network Engineer, you'll support the operation and maintenance of our global network infrastructure. This includes assisting with the daily monitoring, configuration, and troubleshooting of LAN, WAN, VoIP, cloud infrastructure, and security systems across multiple locations. You'll contribute to our IT team's efforts to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable network services that power our business operations. This position is ideal for someone with a strong foundational knowledge in networking who is excited to learn from experienced professionals, contribute to impactful projects, and grow within a global organization.
Requirements
- Familiarity with networking concepts and technologies, including Cisco equipment, firewalls, VPNs, wireless networks, and basic cloud infrastructure.
- A passion for network engineering and a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
- Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
- Solid troubleshooting skills and a willingness to dive into challenges and seek guidance when needed.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 0–2 years of experience in IT support or networking.
Nice To Haves
- Cisco CCNA or similar entry-level certification preferred or in progress
Responsibilities
- Assist in maintaining and monitoring Palo Alto, Cisco, and Meraki-based network components to ensure performance, security, and availability.
- Contribute to network-related projects under the guidance of senior engineers, helping with configuration, testing, and documentation.
- Work with team members and other departments to support hardware and software solutions that improve the network.
- Support the implementation of cybersecurity protocols and policies under the direction of the IT Cybersecurity Committee.
- Help diagnose network issues and escalate complex problems to senior staff to ensure timely resolution.
- Stay current on network trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to build your technical skill set.
