Jr/Mid Level UAT Tester
About The Position
This role involves developing and executing user acceptance test plans and test cases, particularly for International Payments systems, to ensure applications meet business requirements and are defect-free. The tester will document and report defects, collaborate with development teams using Octane and JIRA, and generate test reports. The position also includes participating in review sessions with business users and technology teams to validate functionality and gather feedback. This is a contingent resource assignment where the individual may consult on or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Business Execution, contributing to large-scale planning. The role requires reviewing and analyzing moderately complex Business Execution challenges, contributing to issue resolution, and consulting with others to meet deliverables while maintaining a solid understanding of function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements. Collaboration with client personnel in Business Execution is also expected.
Requirements
- 1–2 years of experience in UAT or QA testing, preferably in financial services
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies
- Proficiency in tools such as Octane, JIRA is critical
- Proficiency in SQL is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills
- 4+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute user acceptance test plans and test cases in collaboration with product managers, developers, and business analysts
- Perform thorough testing of applications—especially International Payments systems—to ensure they meet business requirements and are free of defects
- Document and report defects, and work with development teams to resolve them using Octane and JIRA
- Generate and analyze test reports to provide insights on testing outcomes and application quality
- Participate in review sessions with business users and technology to validate functionality and gather feedback
- Consult on or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Business Execution
- Contribute to large-scale planning related to Business Execution deliverables
- Review and analyze moderately complex Business Execution challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable factors
- Contribute to the resolution of moderately complex issues and consult with others to meet Business Execution deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
- Collaborate with client personnel in Business Execution
