Jr. Jazz Officials (Adult Officials)
About The Position
This is a seasonal position where the selected candidate(s) will be assigned evening/Saturday shifts for Jr. Jazz. All new hires will have paid trainings available during the month of December. The high school basketball season will start early December and run through mid-March. The men's basketball league is on Wednesday nights from January 7th - April 22nd. The number of hours per week changes, depending on availability. At the end of the season, all staff will have the opportunity to continue as an official for other Lehi Recreation sports throughout the remainder of the year.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Some knowledge of the game of basketball is requested.
- Must pass a pre-employment background and drug test.
Nice To Haves
- Open availability on Saturdays.
- Certification through UHSSA (leads to higher pay).
Responsibilities
- Officiate Jr. Jazz basketball games.
- Work evening and Saturday shifts.
- Attend paid trainings in December.
- Potentially officiate men's basketball league on Wednesday nights from January 7th - April 22nd.
- Continue as an official for other Lehi Recreation sports after the season ends.
