About The Position

The Department of Campus Recreation is seeking Penn State students to work as Intramural Sports officials. This position is responsible for officiating at IM sport competitions within an assigned sport area (basketball, flag football, soccer, volleyball, softball, turf hockey). Training will be provided for each individual sport. Campus Recreation is a department within Student Affairs that provides fitness, wellness, and recreational programs to the campus community through the operation and administration of the new expanded and renovated 200,000 sqft. Intramural Building, the McCoy Natatorium, the 700-acre Stone Valley Outdoor Recreation Area, a Tennis Center including six clay courts and four indoor courts, the White Building, Outdoor Adventures, Aquatics, Club Sports, Fitness and Wellness Programs, and Intramural Sports.

Requirements

• Applicants must be current Penn State-University Park students.
• Available to work nights and some weekends.
• Successful applicants can choose to work specific sports or work multiple sports and multiple sessions.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of the sport, rules of play, and officiating experience are not required but preferred.
