About The Position

Northramp is seeking a Jr. IT Software Asset Management Consultant to support government hardware lifecycle management and help maintain operational excellence in a federal environment. This role is engaged in the full hardware asset lifecycle, ensures CMDB and inventory accuracy, and assists with equipment shipments and transfers. The ideal candidate is a strong oral and written communicator, team player, and analytical thinker who can collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and federal stakeholders.

Requirements

2–4 years of hardware-focused IT Asset Management experience
Experience working with CMDB and asset management tools such as ServiceNow
Strong attention to detail, data accuracy, and documentation quality
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to obtain and maintain eligibility for access to classified information (including a security investigation and drug screening)
Daily on-site support in Rockville, MD is required

Nice To Haves

ITIL, IAITAM, or ServiceNow certifications
Experience working within the federal government
Bachelor’s degree

Responsibilities

Participate in the full hardware asset lifecycle, including receiving, tagging, shipping, recovery, and disposal
Maintain accurate asset records and support both physical and logistical inventory audits
Process request-fulfillment tickets in alignment with SLAs and customer expectations
Participate as a member of an IT Asset Management Team, including government and vendor partners
Update process documentation
Coordinate effectively with multiple vendor partners to ensure alignment and shared understanding
