About The Position

The primary responsibilities of the position require the employee to conduct analysis of the company’s operational, business, and reporting processes. The candidate must be technically proficient and able to learn tools like Excel and SQL quickly. The position entails a great deal of ad hoc analysis and critical thinking, problem solving ability, flexibility, and adaptability are essential. The analyst will work on high impact projects on a daily basis. The position is a great opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and develop professionally as it involves critical tasks and exposure to Westlake’s senior management.

Requirements

Technically proficient and able to learn tools like Excel and SQL quickly.
Technically inclined
Eager to learn
Attention to detail
Bachelor’s Degree from accredited 4 year institution in Finance, Economics, CS, IT, Accounting, or Business.
Ability to think simultaneously about relevant conceptual and empirical factors.

Nice To Haves

Excel, VBA or SQL knowledge
Knowledge of financial planning and analysis

Responsibilities

Conduct analysis of the company’s operational, business, and reporting processes.
Work on high impact projects on a daily basis.
Work directly with all of Westlake Flooring’s departments to control costs, forecast income, and improve key processes.
Manage daily and monthly reporting, including profitability reports and other regular duties.
Perform ad hoc analysis to address the concerns and needs of each department and of upper management.
Make recommendations on process improvements.
Ascertain profitability of a potential business move.
Conduct valuation analysis.
