About The Position

The Jr Engineer is responsible for all aspects of document management for prints and electronic files, including storage, shipping, and final documentation. This job description is not intended to be all inclusive. Employees may perform other duties as assigned. This job description may be changed at any time.

Requirements

Current engineering student or a two (2) year technical degree.
Blueprint reading
Understand mechanical drawings
Detail oriented and able to multi task
Good interpersonal skills
Microsoft Office Suite
Proficient in Autodesk programs 2D mechanical and 3D inventor Ver2020
Basic knowledge of GD&T
Strong organizational skills

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of mechanical and controls drawing standards (Ford, GM and Chrysler) preferred.
PLM knowledge preferred

Responsibilities

Review shop prints and makes necessary changes as noted on prints.
Prepare updated engineering prints for shipping.
Prepare final engineering document package to go to customer, including CAD specifications and shop updates.
Confirm contents of shop print package.
Replace any missing information, put back in order before moving to archive.
Maintain printing and file storage area.
Run prints for engineering releases, estimating or sales.
Support Engineering, off-site engineering personnel and other internal departments as needed.
Interact with Shipping and Sales to resolve document issues.
Maintain log of documents that have been received and shipped.
