We are looking for an entry level data engineer to support the data capability at Gen II through driving high impact initiatives, initially aligned to the Finance function. The ideal candidate will have a technical background in data analytics, data science, or data engineering and will work with the Senior Data Engineer. At Gen II you will be building on a newly established data platform, initially to support the financial planning and analytics team to drive better commercial decision making but quickly extending into other areas across all business functions at Gen II. This role provides opportunities to grow and shape the data function as it expands to be cross-functional and drive business insights across the business.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science or similar/related discipline.
1+ years’ experience in data related field, primarily working with cloud data warehouses.
Strong SQL and Python required.
Basic Power BI knowledge.
Knowledge & understanding of data architecture and modelling.
Strong interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
Strong commercial understanding of the value of data and potential use cases it underpins.

Nice To Haves

Snowflake and DBT exposure are preferred.
Exposure and knowledge of data pipelines is a plus.

Responsibilities

Assisting in building and maintaining a best-in-class data platform built on Snowflake and dbt.
Supporting development of end-to-end data pipelines, from source systems (Intacct, Salesforce, etc.) to end consumers primarily in Power BI.
Following established compliance with security and ensuring organizational standards are maintained within the boundaries of the data platform.
Contribute to other projects and duties as assigned by the Finance Team.
