About The Position

Ouro Global is looking to hire an early-career (0-3 years) attorney as junior-level Corporate Counsel to help the company develop and expand its innovative business in a complex and dynamic fintech environment and to support the company’s other lawyers, compliance professionals, sales and procurement teams, and business managers. The ideal candidate will have experience reviewing and drafting commercial contracts and thrives in a fast-paced and evolving environment. The Corporate Counsel will be responsible for drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, as well as oversight of the day-to-day contracting processes for the enterprise. Key areas of focus will include consumer protection, consumer privacy and data security, state and federal regulation of money services businesses and money transmitters, and other emerging payments issues. This position will report directly to the Senior Corporate Counsel and will be part of the Legal Department based at the company’s corporate headquarters in Austin, Texas. Ouro Global offers hybrid (minimum 3 days in-office) work arrangements.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to one or more state bar associations required.
  • July 2026 bar applicants may be considered contingent upon bar exam passage.
  • Ability to travel domestically on occasion.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts and using contract management software ideal.
  • Practice experience in fintech or financial services a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, including product distribution contracts, services agreements, marketing and trademark licensing contracts, statements of work, and non-disclosure agreements.
  • Oversee enterprise contracting processes and work with key stakeholders to design and implement process improvements.
  • Collaborate with internal subject-matter experts to review and discuss contract provisions and apply innovative problem-solving skills and sound judgment as needed to resolve issues in accordance with internal policies and to mitigate business risk.
  • Remain up-to-date on relevant financial services, payments, consumer protection, advertising and privacy laws and regulations to provide sound business, legal, and regulatory advice to business teams.
  • Interact directly with external parties on contract negotiations.
