About The Position

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:  Track Workers’ Compensation claims, including each Claimant’s C-2 Form; report to the Safety Department for investigation and OSHA log input; create and maintain claim files in the appropriate category Coordinate property, fire, flood, and motor vehicle damage claims; review damage forms and photos; establish files; coordinate with claimants, insurance carriers, and internal staff; and obtain signed indemnification agreements prior to inspections Coordinate repairs of damaged and affected units with internal departments to ensure timelines are aligned; obtain insurance information and pursue subrogation when applicable Assist with insurance policy submission packages and support meetings with brokers and underwriters for renewals Follow up with the New York City Fire Department (FDNY) to obtain Fire Marshal and incident reports, as needed Maintain the Driver’s License & DMV “LENS” Notification Program, including monitoring license status changes, updating records, and maintaining the Corporate Driver License database Assist with organization and preparation for Accident Review Committee hearings Assist with preparation of the two-year insurance budget Other duties and responsibilities, as assigned. Educational Requirements:  HS diploma or equivalent required. Degree is a plus Work Experience and Minimum Requirements: Two to four (2–4) years of Workers’ Compensation claims experience Training and experience equivalent to 3 years of property and third-party (General Liability) claims Candidate must be detail oriented Must possess effective written/oral communication and interpersonal skills Working knowledge in Microsoft Office that includes MS Word, Excel, & Outlook Candidate should have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe products  Valid NY, NJ, CT or PA Driver’s license is required Must be able to work flexible hours, as needed Knowledge of insurance policy preparation for renewals is a plus Familiarity with the Yardi program is a plus Bi-Lingual is a plus  Testing:  Drug screening to the extent permitted by applicable law. Physical Requirements:  Persons performing service in this position classification may routinely exert up to 25 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. This type of work will involve regular walking or standing for extended periods of time. It may involve stooping or bending. Requirements

  • HS diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two to four (2–4) years of Workers’ Compensation claims experience
  • Training and experience equivalent to 3 years of property and third-party (General Liability) claims
  • Candidate must be detail oriented
