About The Position

This role involves assisting Category and Merchandise Managers in the day-to-day management of local vendors for packaged beverages. Key responsibilities include item setup, pricing, costs, product logistics, and ensuring product availability. The position also entails planning, tracking, and executing sales incentives and contests, as well as supporting planogram assortment and promotional activities. Occasional overnight travel may be required for in-store merchandising opportunities. The role requires maintaining professional knowledge through workshops, publications, and networking, and contributing to team goals. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, management, business economics, or related field preferred. Other combinations of experience and education that meet the requirements may be substituted.
  • One to Three years of work experience preferred.
  • Radical curiosity of retail and the constantly changing marketplace.
  • Detail-oriented and able to juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong presentation, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) required.

  • Retail experience preferred, but not necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Generate, analyze, and draw conclusions on large amounts of data to support efficient category management and drive business decisions.
  • Assist Category and Merchandise Managers in managing day-to-day local vendor contact for item setup, pricing, costs, product logistics, and in-stocks.
  • Plan, track, and execute vendor/operations sales incentives and/or contests.
  • Analyze and provide support and recommendations for local planogram assortment, planning, and process.
  • Collaborate on promotional and pricing management and execute associated local activities.
  • Support the operational team with in-store merchandising opportunities, including occasional overnight travel.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing determined Financial and Key Result Area targets pursuant to Company Plan guidelines.
