About The Position

We are seeking an early-career Jr. Business Analyst to join our Solutions Engineering team. In this role, you will work alongside senior analysts and architects to understand business needs, document requirements, and support the evaluation and rollout of enterprise platforms and technology solutions across Moss. This is a hands-on learning role designed to build a strong foundation in business analysis, vendor partnership, and construction technology.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business administration, computer science, engineering, or a related field. Candidates with degrees outside these areas should be able to justify the relevance of their field of study to the role.
  • 1–3 years of experience in a business analysis or similar role, gathering business and functional requirements using interviews, workshops, job shadowing, and process observation.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to organize information clearly for both business and technical audiences.
  • Familiarity with requirements gathering and documentation techniques.
  • Basic understanding of technology solutions for business needs and foundational knowledge of software development lifecycle concepts.
  • Exposure to business processes and their operational impact.
  • Attention to detail, adaptability, self-motivation, and resourcefulness.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage tasks under guidance.
  • Willingness to learn and collaborate in a team-oriented environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience or coursework in the construction, engineering, or energy industries.
  • Exposure to enterprise software platforms such as ERP, project management, or field operations tools.
  • Familiarity with documentation, diagramming, or collaboration tools (Visio, Lucidchart, Miro).
  • Willingness to learn statistical and research methods for problem-solving.
  • Certification in Business Analysis is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in identifying project stakeholders and documenting their roles, priorities, and decision-making authority.
  • Support senior team members in gathering business and functional requirements using interviews, workshops, job shadowing, and process observation.
  • Document as-is processes using workflows, process diagrams, and other basic modeling techniques.
  • Contribute to the design of to-be processes under the guidance of senior analysts.
  • Conduct basic research on software, vendors, and services to meet business needs, and participate in enterprise platform evaluations alongside senior team members.
  • Support vendor partnerships by helping prepare materials, capture meeting notes, track action items, and follow up on open questions.
  • Help verify requirements for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with project goals.
  • Create process models, diagrams, and documentation for project teams.
  • Document and track requirements and their status throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assist in communicating changes or updates to stakeholders in a clear, structured manner.
  • Learn and adapt to evolving methodologies, techniques, and technologies relevant to business analysis and construction technology.
