About The Position

TMB, Inc is seeking a motivated Junior Acquisition Analyst to support NAVSEA, specifically the PEO Ship’s Team Ship’s Front Office. The ideal candidate will have 1 to 3 years of experience in Navy acquisition processes and a solid understanding of DoD procurement, contracting, and program management practices in Washington, DC. The team is responsible for all acquisition support required by the Team Ships Front Office (TFSO) Director of Acquisition. It includes support to development of Acquisition Strategies, development and maintenance of all acquisition milestone decision documentation required by NAVSEA, the program sponsor, FMB, and the congress, to include recurring reports, responses to inquiries, and close coordination with all TFSO division directors, and supporting performing activities in the execution of the program. Execution of this task requires close liaison between the support team members and all activities supporting the TFSO.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience supporting U.S. Navy Acquisition programs.
  • Familiarity with DoD acquisition lifecycle documentation and terminology.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Must be a United States citizen.
  • Active DOD Secret security clearance.
  • Proficiency using the Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and TEAMS.
  • Ability to perform frequent customer interface including regularly scheduled and ad hoc meetings.
  • Ability to travel reasonable distances (up to ½ mile one way) to meet with customers or other company personnel in the execution of job functions.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds in order to carry a laptop, notebooks, papers, binders and other tools and equipment required in the execution of job functions.

Responsibilities

  • Support acquisition planning, documentation, and execution for Navy programs.
  • Prepare briefings, reports, and other materials for senior leadership.
  • Provide guidance and oversight to collect, review, and analyze information to make recommendations to the Government.
  • Maintain, update, and serve as a focal point for databases or spreadsheets.
  • Assist in planning, scheduling, organizing, and executing meetings, events, and off sites.
  • Support program reviews, milestone decision reviews, and conferences.
  • Develop and review briefing materials and process documentation.
  • Provide writing assistance including preparation of technical reports and annual reports.
  • Assist with other administrative duties as needed.
  • Track and provide TMB monthly accomplishments for TFSO.
